Content creation has always been essential for growing a business, but with many businesses relying heavily on their online sales since the pandemic—content has never been more important! If you are struggling with understanding content creation you are in the right place.

Visually Connect And Engage

Whether it’s a social media quote, photos, or creative graphics they express your brand identity without saying a word. An impressive 90 percent of information processed is visual, so even with bomb text, your imagery must impress. Not to worry if you don’t have the budget for a photographer or designer, as you can learn to capture standout images with your smartphone and an intuitive online editing tool. I’ll teach you how!

Educate And Inform

Blogs and articles must feature standout imagery, but they must also answer the most frequently asked questions about your product or service. Keep readers coming back by mixing in industry tips and trending topics your demographic is searching for.

Write in small and easy-to-read blocks of text, separated by clear topic headings so that readers can skim and read-only what they want. The hope is they read everything, but the average time spent reading each blog or article is around 20 seconds.

Consumer Retention

It costs at least 5 times less to convert a current customer than it does to convert a new lead, making retention a priority. Once you capture a lead from a social media ad, your website newsletter form, or after they place their order—the goal is to keep them engaged.

This often means sending 1 or 2 emails a month to keep consumers informed and your brand top of mind. This should include personalized emails. For example, automating an alert 20 days after they purchased a product or service from you.

Stand Out From The Competition

Statistics show that brands that invest in and publish a steady stream of content, grow their audience 12 times faster than brands that don’t. So, your content provides a competitive edge and delivers a stylized look and feel to ensure you stand out.

Where many brands fall short is consistency. They are enthusiastic about the content the first few months, then content falls to the bottom of their to-do list. However, consistency is essential for steady growth.

Search Engine Optimization

Posting trending and relevant content help you improve your page rank in both search engines and social media. Quality is key, so never post for the sake of posting, and always with purpose and as part of a larger strategy.

Map each strategy out 3 or 4 months at a time including everything from how many blogs you will post per month and how often to post to each social media channel. While it won’t impact your SEO, be sure to map out your automated email marketing funnels too.

Target Multiple Demographics

Whether you sell one product or many, you are sure to have a variety of consumer demographics. The print content approach is often geared toward your primary audience as printing is expensive. Since digital content is less expensive to produce, you are empowered to hyper-target a variety of audiences.
